ORAL HISTORY PROJECT
An important part of the work of the Sheringham Point Lighthouse Preservation Society is to document and preserve the history of the Lighthouse and its influence on our community. This includes not only creating a written history, but also collecting oral histories from people who have been associated with the site over the years.
A number of people have already been interviewed, and we encourage anyone who has a past connection with the Lighthouse to contact us and help build this archive of information about the site.
An interview with Rodney Sullivan and Linda Fisk
Rodney and Linda are grandchildren of Eustace Arden, the first Lightkeeper at Sheringham Point.
An interview with Joseph and Vivienne Jubb
Joseph and Vivienne lived at the Lighthouse from 1973 to 1975, when Joe was assistant lightkeeper.
An interview with Elanie Bruton
Elanie is the daughter of lightkeeper Jim Bruton. She spent her childhood living at the Lighthouse and remains a key volunteer (and source of information) for the Lighthouse Society.

Audrey is a grand-daughter of Eustace Arden, the first lightkeeper at Sheringham Point.
An interview with Mike and Pat Cross
Mike and Pat Cross lived at the Lighthouse from 1959 to 1961, then again in 1965, when Mike was assistant lightkeeper.
An interview with Kurt Cehak
Kurt, along with his wife Erika, were the last lightkeepers at Sheringham Point, before it was destaffed. They lived at the lighthouse from 1987 to 1989.
