MAKE A DONATION
To be able to do our work and accomplish our goals, the Sheringham Point Lighthouse Preservation Society is entirely dependent upon the generosity and donations of its members and supporters – people, like you, who care about their heritage, their environment and their community.
The protection of significant landmarks and community assets such as Sheringham Point Lighthouse is an ongoing task, but it also brings tremendous rewards – for everyone involved – and we always strive to see our fundraising as opportunities for engagement.
We encourage you to donate to the extent you can, and assure you that every penny of your donation is very much appreciated, respected, and will be put to good use.
Options for Donations
Donations can be made in any amount, and can be made on a regular (automatic) monthly basis or on a one-time basis. A tax receipt will be provided for all monthly donations (annual total), and for all one-time donations greater than $10. Donations can be made by Credit Card (via one of our partner payment agencies – Square, Canada Helps or Pay Pal – please see below), or by cheque.
There are several options for making donations:
MONTHLY / SUSTAINING DONATIONS
We strongly encourage all of our friends and supporters, if you can, to make a regular (automatic) monthly contribution. Not only does this help us better plan our activities and conservation efforts, but it is also (administratively) cheaper for us, and helps us be able to put more of our resources into looking after the site. It’s also easier for many of our supporters to manage.
SUSTAINING DONATIONS: For those who can a SUSTAINING DONATION – monthly contribution of $10/month (Bronze Level), $25/month (Silver Level) or $50/month (Gold Level) – will help provide the foundation for our work to continue.

GIFT DONATIONS
Donations to the support Lighthouse and the Society’s work may also be made as a gift for another person.

IN MEMORIAM DONATIONS
Donations may also be made to honour the memory of a friend or family member who has passed. In such cases, notification can be sent to the family, if you wish.

PLANNED & LEGACY GIFTS
Planned and Legacy Gifts are more significant gifts that are made as part of a donor’s financial management or estate planning, either as current/ongoing gifts, or as future gifts. They include such things as gifts of property, annuities, life insurance, etc., and are often included in a donor’s Will. We would be happy to meet with you and discuss your objectives and your wishes, and can work with you to help create your legacy.
